Job summary

OEG in Port Fourchon, Louisiana, is seeking a Yard Technician for our Cargo Logistics Division to maintain and inspect CCUs and related fleet equipment on-site, ensuring readiness for shipment.

You will perform assembly, inspections, and basic maintenance, verify equipment is clean and certified, operate forklifts and cranes, and help load/unload for shipments while upholding safety policies. You will also train other technicians and support housekeeping and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of practical yard/shop technician or related oil and gas experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving initiative.
• Reading and interpreting technical product drawings and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, inspections, or repair work on schedule in a safe, organized manner.
• Verify rental equipment is cleaned, maintained, and certified ready for shipment.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment from trucks and securing it properly.
• Train other Technicians on product features and proper use.
