Job summary

Power Plus in Freehold, NJ seeks a Shop Technician to maintain the shop and yard, build and repair field equipment, and load trucks for daily operations. You will play a key role in keeping generators and related gear ready for deployment, while maintaining an organized warehouse and accurate logs.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, able to lift up to 75 lbs, operate a forklift, and work well in a small team under OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and equipment safety practices.
• Follow Power Plus safety and quality standards.
• Punctual, reliable, detail oriented.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains shop and yard on a daily basis.
• Maintains Inventory and stock of filters and parts.
• Service and wash generators as needed.
• Maintains oil tanks (fresh and waste) along with updating log.
• Maintains loose parts, cable, filters and misc. products off the floor to maintain an organized shop.
• Maintains storm drain, rain gutters and overall cleanliness of yard.
• Assist mechanics and field technicians as needed.
• Able to use all power and hand tools safely.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to drive forklift and load and unload equipment.
• Other Duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

SUMMARY

This position involves maintenance of shop and yard, building and repairing field equipment, loading trucks and maintaining a well-stocked warehouse.
