FedEx Corporation is seeking a PT Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers between yards and doors, and assist with loading and sorting packages. You will use yard systems or switcher cards to track moves and perform safety inspections on equipment.

The role requires quick, careful work in a fast-paced environment. Typical tasks include handling packages with hand-to-surface methods, operating dock carts and scanners, and collaborating with yard staff to maintain smooth logistics.

Competenze

• No formal education required.
• Six (6) months of package handler or switcher/CDL operator experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions and procedures.

Mansioni

• Move and switch trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or control.
• Document trailer moves using yard management systems or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Handle packages using hand-to-surface methods when required.
• Load and unload packages from vehicles and conveyors.
• Sort packages by scanning labels and using charts to direct flow.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
