Knight’s Companies Inc. in South Carolina seeks a Yard Supervisor to lead precast yard operations and ensure efficient loading, labeling, and inventory control. You will direct a loading team, coordinate with Shipping and Production, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred in construction management, logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in precast concrete, logistics, or related field (5 years preferred).
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, including a front-end loader.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, load lists, and production plans accurately.
• Strong math skills related to construction and measurements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to direct and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all truck loading activities as scheduled by Shipping and Production Supervisor.
• Supervise yard pickup loads and ensure orders match the load book and standards.
• Ensure products are labeled and identified before shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe yard environment and promote efficient traffic flow.
• Oversee placement and storage of precast castings to optimize space and accuracy.
• Direct loader operators and yard crew to maintain daily workflow.
• Communicate load discrepancies or production concerns promptly.
