Job summary

OmniSource, a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc., seeks a supervisor to lead a department, train staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will manage inventory daily through quarterly cycles, enforce safety standards, and mentor a team while adapting to weather, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining strong communication with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others.
• Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more as required.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap or desire to learn.
• Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, team-oriented, work environment.
• Must have favorable results of credit checks, background checks, and other assessments.
• Minimum of one year supervisory or lead experience in an industrial setting.
