Job summary

OmniSource, a Steel Dynamics subsidiary, seeks a supervision/lead role to develop, train, and oversee employees within the department on site. You will ensure safety, manage daily to quarterly inventory, and handle related personnel issues as they arise.

The role requires at least one year of supervisory experience in an industrial setting, strong communication, and the ability to train and motivate a team. Weather conditions and physical duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others.
• Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more as required.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap or desire to learn.
• Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, team-oriented, work environment.
• Must have favorable results of credit checks, background checks, and other assessments.
• Minimum of one year supervisory or lead experience in an industrial setting.
