Job summary

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Yard Staff member for the Lake Worth, TX site. You will safely receive, process, line up, and support sale day activities for consigned equipment, following RB Global customer service standards.

The role requires operating heavy and light equipment, basic equipment maintenance, and adherence to vehicle policy. On-site duties include yard management and auction day support.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per company policy.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic maintenance and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Receive and release consigned equipment for auction.
• Line up equipment for display using auction listings.
• Drive/heavy equipment and perform basic equipment checks.
• Assist with facility inspections and housekeeping tasks.
• Perform basic maintenance on RB equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading and other duties as assigned.

It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full‑time and part‑time roles to conduct a successful multi‑million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.

Job Description

The Part Time Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, sale day support and check‑out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction.
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction.
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment.
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary.
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment.
• Manages keys for equipment.
• Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment.
• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc.
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day.
• Drives sound truck.
• Holds ‘This item for sale sign’ (stick person).
• Places operators in rolling stock.
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company’s motor vehicle policy required
