Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Yard Staff to safely receive, merchandise, track inventory, operate equipment, and assist with check-out at multiple locations including government sites and RB Global facilities.

You will follow strict customer service standards and work under general supervision to support yard operations. This role requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, travel up to 80% and perform basic maintenance on equipment, with opportunities to participate in logistics coordination and

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Travel up to 80% may be required.
• Lift 80 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases inventory
• Performs joint physical inventories at government locations
• Uses systems to track and process inventory
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections and housekeeping or maintenance
• Performs basic maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Merchandises and inspects items for sale
• Boosts equipment
• Performs basic demilitarization and deidentification
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Assists in coordinating logistics
• Interacts with customers
• Travels to other locations as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

The Yard Staff safely receives, merchandises, uses inventory accountability practices, operates MHE, and facilitates check‑out of items. They may perform their duties at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or government locations. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff.

Responsibilities

• Uses systems to track and process inventory
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs basic maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Merchandises and inspects items for sale
• Boosts equipment
• Performs basic demilitarization and deidentification
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Assists in coordinating logistics
• Interacts with customers
• Travels to other locations as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
