Job summary

Red Baron Transportation, a division of BWT Logistics, seeks skilled CDL Yard Spotters to support day and night shifts. You will move trailers, perform pre-trip inspections, and keep precise records in a fast-paced yard environment.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance, and a clean driving record. The role offers a 36/48 rotation, on-site work in Louisiana, and benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with DOT Medical Card.
• Must be in active FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance.
• Clean driving record and background check required.
• Minimum 3 years in yard spotter or CDL role preferred.
• Experience operating yard tractors in fast-paced yards.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, outdoors work.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers between docks, staging areas and parking spots.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard equipment.
• Ensure trailers are chocked, secured, and sealed properly.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and movements.
• Communicate with warehouse leadership to coordinate activity.
• Identify and report equipment hazards or malfunctions.
• Keep yard clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
• Assist with other yard/site tasks as needed.
