Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in Ohio is hiring a Yard Associate to help contractors and do-it-yourselfers. You will assist customers with order selection and loading, pull and stage materials, and keep the yard organized. Training is provided for forklift operation.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience, a friendly personality, and can work outdoors in all weather. Join a growing, family-owned company that promotes from within.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required or preferred.
• Friendly personality and willingness to work with others.
• Knowledge of building materials is helpful for assisting customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to outdoor conditions.
• Forklift experience is not required but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory and conduct cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean; operate a forklift as needed.

Description:

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
