Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring for a yard associate to support contractors and DIY customers with loading and selection of orders at our yard. You will pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, help keep the yard organized, and participate in inventory counts.

We provide forklift training if needed and prioritize safety, teamwork, and helpful service. Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors in all conditions, are team players, and bring basic familiarity with building materials.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and team-player mindset.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Forklift operation experience or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
