Job summary

Carter Lumber in Kentucky is seeking a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIY customers by locating and loading materials, pulling items for pickup or delivery, and keeping the yard organized and safe. You’ll work outdoors in all weather, operate a forklift after training, and participate in cycle counts to maintain inventory.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and team-oriented.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and/or delivery.
• Help maintain yard inventory through cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean.

Description:

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
