Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Yard Associate to assist customers, load orders, and stage materials. You will help maintain yard inventory and operate a forklift after training.

The job is on the second shift (4pm–midnight, Monday–Friday) and requires a teamwork mindset and willingness to work outdoors. Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory and keep area organized and clean.
• Operate forklift; training provided to attain certification.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
