Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking individuals to join our yard team in a hands-on, outdoor role. You will assist contractors and DIY customers with selections, load orders, and help maintain yard organization. Forklift experience is a plus for handling materials and keeping stock flowing smoothly.

The position is a first-shift, full-time role offering benefits and room for growth within a family-owned company with a long history in the industry.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality preferred.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.
• 1st shift position.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean.
• Operate forklift as needed.

Description:

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift.
