Job summary

Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking a yard associate to assist contractors and DIYers with loading, stocking, and staging materials in our outdoor yard. You will help maintain inventory and keep the yard organized, with forklift training provided if needed.

The role requires a customer-focused, team-oriented individual who can work outdoors in all conditions; familiarity with building materials is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required
• Ability to be a team player and work outdoors in all conditions
• A friendly personality and helpful attitude are essential
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selecting and loading orders
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery
• Maintain inventory in the yard via cycle counts and keep the area organized and clean
• Operate a forklift or be trained to obtain forklift certification

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if you haven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
