Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring for a Yard Associate to join our outdoor yard team. You will assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading of orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and maintain yard organization.

You will help manage yard inventory, perform cycle counts, and operate a forklift (training and certification provided if needed). A friendly, team-oriented approach and ability to work outside in all conditions are essential.

• Customer service experience required.

• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of their order.
• Pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered.
• Help maintain the Yard inventory by conducting cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean.
• Operate a forklift and obtain certification if not already trained.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
