Summary:
At Imperial, we sell, distribute, and service General Merchandise, Seasonal Products, and Health/Beauty/Wellness Products to our customers. As a Yard Driver, you will drive automatic and standard tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver materials or products within multiple Imperial buildings. On occasion, the driver may be required to do customer deliveries.

Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (5:00AM-3:30PM)
Pay:
$25 + per hour based on experience
Essential Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Drives truck to destination.
- Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
- Maintains driver log according to I.C.C. regulations
- Assists workers in loading and unloading truck using a transporter
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
- Required to be reachable by company when on duty
- During 1st shift hours
- Primary duties: Shuttle trailers between 2 buildings
- May assist in some warehouse duties
- May complete deliveries, drop & hook and back hauls
- Load and Unload trailers and sweep trailers
- Door set up for outbound and inbound receiving
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Class A CDL Drivers License - Required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present and/or speak information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- Regular exposed to outside weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is related to trucks which is usually loud.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
