Job Summary
To transport customers of Park &Jet and guests of the hotel to and from the airport and assure safe, courteous, and expeditious transportation; Assist with loading and unloading or carrying their luggage.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, courteous transportation to all customers.
- Follow directions of dispatcher on rotation/pick-up on site and at airport and remain in constant contact with dispatcher.
- Use a two-way radio to communicate with dispatcher always practicing radio etiquette.
- Report all accidents/incidents and other required shuttle bus information to supervisor immediately and complete reports per instructions provided.
- Observe and execute policies and procedures established by Management and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain interior/exterior cleanliness and wash vehicle.
- Conduct inspection of vehicle for all necessary fluids, check to ensure that all lights are working and report any vehicle faults to Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Must sign out the van you will be driving at the start of your shift.
- Inspect interior of vehicle for lost items after each trip and turn in to dispatcher immediately.
- Be alert and observant of any activity on the lot, both authorized and unauthorized and inform supervisor.
- Keep front of hotel clear of luggage carts when dispatched to the hotel and return carts to luggage room.
- Follow proper radio transmissions.
- Police parking area for trash while on standby on the lot.
- Wear proper uniforms at all times when working.
- Must follow all company policies when on duty/premises.
- Any other tasks / duties requested or assigned by Management.
- Report all incidents or needs to MOD on lot.
Skills
- Ability to perform heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in and out of luggage compartment (interior and rear storage compartments).
- Ability to work flexible shifts and long hours as sometimes required.
- Flexible availability as the schedule rotates and includes days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to climb in and out passenger vans
- Requires frequent kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, bending and lifting.
- Must be courteous, pleasant and helpful to all customers.
- Must be honest and reliable.
- Must abide by all traffic rules and sound traffic practices.
- Possess good communication skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have good driving record
- Must pass physical test
- At least 1 year driving experience
- Previous experience driving large passenger or commercial vehicle a plus
