Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Idaho is seeking a motivated Parts Handler to perform day-to-day yard and warehouse tasks. You will safely move parts, retrieve items, and prepare orders, following all safety guidelines.

You will operate a forklift/order picker, tag parts for destinations, and coordinate with Sales and Dispatch. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a preference for automotive parts knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer knowledge of automotive parts.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret simple graphs.
• Proficiency with Outlook/Word/Excel is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver around yard/warehouse.
• Find and retrieve parts for orders.
• Package parts for delivery or prepping.
• Pull work orders and use hand/power tools as needed.

This position may be directed by the Production/Yard Leader to assure that the parts are handled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.Essential Job DutiesSafely maneuver around the yard or warehouse.Find/Retrieve parts.Package parts for delivery/or preppingAny paperwork involved with the parts.Pull work orders.Use hand tools and power tools to remove parts from cars.Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) or order picker.Pull and prep all sheet metal and other orders.Tag all parts properly for the destination.Communicate with Sales and Dispatch.Must display a positive and friendly attitude as well as appropriate behavior during work hours.Cleanliness must be maintained in the work area.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED.Preferred RequirementsA working knowledge of automotive parts.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
