Job summary

Ziegler CAT in Altoona, IA is hiring a full-time Yard Operator to support customers, service, and sales teams. You will ship, receive, and operate yard equipment, greet customers, and ensure accurate documentation while keeping the yard clean and organized.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of experience in a shop or operating equipment. It is safety-sensitive and includes a pre-employment drug test; driving and equipment handling are routine, and teamwork is essential.

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time Yard Operator to support our customers, service, and sales personnel. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills to help support our growth.

Responsibilities

• Ship, receive, and operate equipment in the yard
• Promptly greet and assist customers in the yard

• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.
• Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.
