Job summary

HRforGrowth is seeking a Yard Lead to supervise trailer management, yard organization, and hostler coordination in a high-volume LTL cross-dock facility in New Jersey. You will act as the operational owner of trailer visibility, ensuring each trailer is accounted for, secured, positioned, and ready to support dock operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, urgency, and communication to coordinate with Operations Managers, Drivers, and customer representatives across 100–130 dock

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, cross-dock, yard operations, or warehouse operations.
• Experience tracking assets, equipment, or trailers.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and operational tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee trailer management and yard organization.
• Track trailer locations and door assignments during shifts.
• Ensure accurate trailer inventory in tracking systems.
• Coordinate hostler movements and dock door access.
• Conduct routine yard audits for security and efficiency.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance in yard operations.
