The role emphasizes training, customer service, and efficient yard management, with a CDL preferred but not required. Outdoor work is common, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of yard activities and material handling.
• Ability to plan and coordinate work to maximize efficiency.
• Strong reading/writing of schedules and reports.
• Knowledge of basic math, counting, and estimating.
• Customer service orientation and safety focus.
• Proficiency in Excel; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• 5 years of yard operations experience or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs employees, assigns work, monitors progress and trains staff.
• Oversees loading, unloading, and movement of materials using yard equipment.
• Ensures training and certification for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Inspects loading operations and prepares bills of lading and packing slips.
• Provides on-the-job training and enforces safety procedures.
• Assists customers with loading, delivery status, and inventory questions.
• Maintains neat outdoor areas and reports safety hazards.
• May perform yard duties and maintain communication with management.
