Job summary

White's Lumber in Pulaski is seeking a Yard Foreman to direct all yard operations under the Store Manager. You will oversee staff, coordinate pickups and deliveries, and ensure accurate inventory control throughout receipt, storage, and distribution.

This role requires forklift operation, strong math and scheduling abilities, and effective communication with multiple departments to meet store objectives. A hands-on leader who can maintain safety and efficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of building supply and retail hardware industries, inventory receiving and logistics.
• Two to four years of college and 2–5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift and have required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct yard operations under the store manager.
• Ensure friendly, accurate, and timely customer service for yard pickups and deliveries.
• Control inventory during receipt, storage, and pickup/delivery to meet objectives.
• Schedule yard staff to ensure optimum customer service and meet objectives.
• Document all yard transactions accurately.
• Oversee cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet store goals.
