Job summary

Corbins is seeking a Yard Foreman to join the Field Operations Team. The ideal candidate will manage yard laydown activities, guide a team, and ensure timely inventory, shipping, and safety compliance in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should have high school completion, a valid driving record, OSHA 30 preferred, and a proven ability to work independently with urgency. This on-site role requires physical capability and commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• General yard laydown operations knowledge.
• Experience operating general laydown yard equipment.
• Experience managing, evaluating, and coaching direct reports.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
• Experience demonstrating high drive and sense of urgency.
• Demonstrated ability working independently with minimal direction at times.
• Ability to give and receive both praise and criticism equally.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to work at heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, etc.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily goals, schedules, and expectations for yard crew.
• Provide coaching and performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Maintain inventory records for materials and equipment; monitor re-stocking.
• Manage transaction forms and documentation for supplies.
• Assist with securing, scheduling, and shipping materials and equipment.
• Ensure safety checks and permits per policy and law.
• Coordinate inter-company deliveries and returns; complete paperwork promptly.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of inter-company mail and packages.
• Contribute to development and implementation of department standards.
• Report personnel needs and projections to supervisor.
