Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Yard Auditor in Grand Rapids, MI to support finished goods yard and shipping operations. You will operate heavy equipment, load/unload trailers, and ensure inventory accuracy in outdoor conditions.

Role requires 2+ years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and outdoor work ability. Mi-Jack/Travelift experience and CDL A are preferred; training available. Benefits are highlighted in the employee program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Mi-Jack or Travelift operating experience preferred.
• Container handling experience preferred.
• Rail or intermodal yard experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely in the finished goods storage yard.
• Load/unload trailers and transport equipment to support shipping/yard operations.
• Stage and position finished HVAC products and materials per priorities.
• Perform pre/post-shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Support inventory accuracy and cycle counts as needed.
• Coordinate with logistics, shipping, yard leadership and other teams.
• Maintain safety, follow procedures, and keep work area organized.
• Adapt to peak periods, weather events and changing shipping demands.
