Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in California seeks Transportation Associates to perform trailer moves, coordinate yard activities, and support the transportation network. You’ll learn DOT regulations and operate various CMVs in an outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include safety-first operations, yard coordination, inspections, and reporting. The role offers CDL training opportunities, with starting pay and benefits from Day 1.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver's license and are 21 years or older.
• High School or equivalent diploma. English proficiency required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week with overtime as required and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by following and enforcing safety policies for all vehicle operations.
• Coordinate yard activities, ensure trailers arrive/depart on time with zero defects.
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or in yard to move trailers to/from dock.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and Amazon policies.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and report maintenance issues.
• Track working hours and breaks per Amazon policy and regulations.
• Serve as peer trainer and support at nearby site locations as needed.
• Drive and load/unload trucks using approved equipment.
