Job summary

Maersk's Performance Team in Logan Township, NJ is seeking a Yard Associate to organize and update the yard daily, ensuring materials arrive as ordered and are ready for downstream operations.

You will gate trailers and containers, walk the yard twice daily, and assist the warehouse team with routing and outbound shipping. You’ll work with dispatch to transfer trailers, perform equipment inspections, verify container pools, and help maintain yard layouts per company standards.

Qualifications

• Multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• MS Office applications and basic computer use.
• Excellent verbal communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Gate trailers and containers in and out of the yard using the company software.
• Walk the yard twice daily to ensure accuracy.
• Assist warehouse with routing and outbound shipping.
• Coordinate with dispatch for trailer transfers between buildings.
• Inventory and verification of equipment.
• Inspect and clean containers and chassis; verify container pool.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Maintain yard layout per company standards.
