Job summary

Maersk is hiring for a yard operations role in Massachusetts. You will organize and update the yard daily, ensuring materials are received and stored as ordered. The position is a direct hire with full benefits and an annual bonus.

The shift is Wednesday through Saturday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, with opportunities to impact the efficiency of dispatch and shipping. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong multitasking and communication skills, and familiarity with Microsoft applications

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Team player with multitasking ability.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Gate trailers and containers in and out of the yard using the company system.
Walk the yard twice daily to ensure accuracy.
Assist warehouse team in routing and shipping of materials with outbound equipment.
Coordinate with dispatch to transfer trailers between buildings.
Inventory and verify equipment.
Inspect and clean containers and chassis.
Verify container pool status.
Assist with maintenance and repair of trailers and containers.
Ensure yard layout complies with company standards.
