Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a yard worker to organize and update the yard daily, gate trailers and containers, and assist with routing and shipping. The role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and knowledge of DOT rules.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to multitask and solve problems with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
Must be a team player and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize and update the yard on a daily basis.
Gate trailers and containers in and out of the yard using the company software.
Walk the yard twice daily to ensure accuracy.
Assist warehouse team in routing and shipping materials with outbound equipment.
Coordinate with dispatch to ensure trailer transfers between buildings occur smoothly.
Inventory and verify equipment and containers; inspect and clean containers and chassis.
Ensure yard layout is maintained per company standards.
