Job summary

Bobcat of New Hampshire is hiring a yard associate to greet customers, assist with loading and unloading equipment, and help maintain a safe, organized yard in Chichester, NH.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm with no weekends; pay ranges $18–$22 per hour, with benefits including health insurance for employees, 401(k) with 100% employer match up to 4%, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating compact construction equipment.
• Must be competent at operating compact construction equipment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers or professional contractors in a friendly manner upon entry into the yard or store.
• Greet and assist customers with loading and unloading equipment and attachments and inspect equipment upon return to ensure it is returned in good order.
• Interact with customers on basic instructions and returns.
• Maintain yard in a clean and orderly condition to ensure a safe and clean working environment and to create an appealing appearance to customers.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.
• Load materials for customers onto company delivery vehicles.
• Unload incoming freight and move to its appropriate department or location.
• Accurately build loads and prepare materials for delivery.
• Remove snow, dirt and debris and wash equipment so it’s ready for sale or rent.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Attend safety training, comply with and maintain full understanding of State and federal regulations.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Perform routine inspection of equipment and report equipment defects or damage to the supervisor; cleans equipment, as necessary.

• Work Location: Chichester, NH
• Bobcat of New Hampshire has 2 NH locations: Hudson/Londonderry and Chichester
• Pay: $18 - $22 per hour based on a 42.5 hour workweek
• Benefits enrollment is first of month following 30 days of employment.
