Job summary

AWCT is hiring a full-time Assistant Yard and Offsite Supervisor at our KC office in Claycomo, MO. The role focuses on maintaining safe, efficient yard traffic and coordinating with rail and trucking partners.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid leave. Pay starts at $26.50 per hour, with actual pay based on qualifications and market factors.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver's License and ability to meet MVR standards; pass Safe Driving quiz (80%+).
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely in yard environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are free of damage and routed correctly.
• Document damages and ensure proper inspections before movement.
• Scan vehicles and assign moves to shuttle crews to meet priorities.
• Maintain correct vehicle order per customer and AWCT needs.
• Complete and file required documentation with Supervisor at shift end.
• Supervise yard activities, provide instruction and safety feedback.
• Collaborate with Yard Supervisors on staffing and resource planning.
• Communicate movements via radio with management and staff.
• Inspect vans for safe operation and report issues for repairs.
• Ensure crews follow movement standards and safety protocols.
• Assist in offsite yards as needed.
