Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an Operations associate to move trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading. This hands-on role requires attention to equipment condition and safety standards while coordinating with loaders and supervision to follow door assignments.

Responsibilities include backing trailers, ensuring seals and refrigeration are operating, securing loads, and maintaining yard organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: less than high school.
• At least 1 year of warehouse or transportation experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; pallet jack and forklift certification obtainable after hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers according to door assignments.
• Checks that units are sealed and refrigeration operates correctly.
• Ensures proper securing and loading of trailers before moving.
• Coordinates with transportation management to use the proper equipment on routes.
• Maintains yard organization and removes debris.
