Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply in Burnet, TX is hiring a Distribution Yard Crewmember. You will load and unload products, stock materials, and move items in the yard and warehouse. Forklift operation and safety checks are key parts of the role, with emphasis on proper loading techniques and weather protection for exposed materials.

The position requires teamwork, physical stamina, and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet business demands. Training will be provided and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Must be able to lift up to 80–100 pounds and perform repeated movements.
• Ability to work overtime as required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads products safely and accurately.
• Moves, stocks, and rearranges building materials in yard/warehouse.
• Performs routine safety checks on forklifts per guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of lumberyard and warehouses.
• Ensures proper loading of merchandise to protect against damage during transit.
• Covers exposed materials to prevent weather damage when required.
• Operates a forklift to move materials as needed.
• Attends store meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
