Job summary

Dave Steel Company, a Walters Group Company, seeks dedicated individuals for our Shelby Fabrication Facility on 2nd shift. You will transport material, load trailers, operate forklifts and cranes, and help maintain inventory and paperwork with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow written instruction.
• Able to pass Random DOT & Company drug test.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport material through the shop/yard.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently.
• Forklift operation.
• Crane/hoist operation.
• Correctly fill out and maintain paperwork for outgoing loads.
• Maintain proper records for inventory management.
• Unload incoming material.
• Perform yard receiving and inventory control.
• Pull material for production.
• Handle processed materials for staging, storage, and shipping.
• Stage and/or build loads for painting, galvanizing, and shipping.
• Assure that quality of processed materials is kept during handling.
• Provide equipment support at saw.
• Other duties as determined by Supervisor.
