Job summary

Dave Steel Company in Chesnee, SC, is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift to support our fabrication operations. You will unload incoming stock, manage yard receiving, and pull material for production to keep lines moving.

This role requires forklift certification, the ability to verify materials meet ASTM A6 standards, and a valid driver's license. We offer comprehensive benefits and a safe, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Certified to operate forklift.
• Ability to obtain information on ASTM A6 to ensure received materials meet requirements.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming stock.
• Perform yard receiving and inventory control.
• Pull material for production.
• Handle processed materials for staging, storage and shipping.
• Stage and/or build loads for painting, galvanizing, and shipping.
• Ensure quality of processed materials during handling.
• Provide equipment support at Saw, Coper, and Blastec equipment.
• Maintain records for inventory management.
• Attend spray-out as needed for touch up requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unloads incoming stock
• Performs yard receiving and inventory control
• Pulls material for production
• Handles processed materials for staging, storage, and shipping

Position Requirements:

• Certified to operate forklift. Basic ability to handle materials.
• Ability to obtain information on ASTM A6 assuring all material received at DSCO meets these requirements.
