Job summary

At Maguire Iron, Inc., a Heavy Equipment Operator and Material Handler is needed to move oversized materials and operate a range of equipment in a fabrication shop and yard. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency in daily material flow and equipment operations.

Responsibilities include crane operation, truck loading, deliveries, inventory management, and maintaining an orderly yard while complying with PPE and safety programs. GED or high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior heavy forklift/equipment experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment from small skid steers to 25,000 lb forklifts and move materials.
• Ensure production bays have materials needed for efficient operation.
• Operate overhead cranes and load semi-trailers as directed.
• Receive, store, and record shop materials and maintain yard organization.
• Move materials safely without damage and keep inventory accurate in the system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE policies.
