Job summary

CRANDIC, a respected name in the railroad industry, is part of Travero, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy. This role coordinates train crews, maintenance work, and railcar movements with connecting railroads to ensure safe and efficient rail operations.

You will act as the primary communication hub between customers, crews, and railroad partners, solving problems and supporting essential transportation services in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in dispatch and/or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and customer interfacing skills.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the daily coordination of train crews, Maintenance of Way, and interchanges, receipts, and deliveries with connecting railroads. Plays a key role in the dissemination of information between internal and external customers.

What you will do

• Responsible for providing leadership and direction for the essential functions of customer service.
• Coordinates and communicates with all technical support areas of CRANDIC to ensure efficient and accurate information.
• Responsible for interface with internal and external customers.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma

Preferred Experience

• Previous dispatch and/or customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office products.
• Previous background working shift positions including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated experience managing and interfacing with internal and external customers.
