Job summary

Landmark Implement, Inc. seeks a Yard Manager to keep the dealership lot professional, organized, and safe.

You will coordinate with LandMark Transport for loading/unloading equipment following safety policies, and assist multiple departments to ensure smooth operations including parts delivery when needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and the ability to operate various equipment and power tools.

  • Familiar with Agriculture Equipment usage and operation.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and inventories lot to keep the working environment safe for customers and employees.
  • Assist LandMark Transport with loading/unloading of equipment per safety policies.
  • Maintain a neat and clean yard at all times (mowing, trimming weeds, lot cleanup).
  • Snow and ice removal tasks (shoveling sidewalks, steps, doorways, etc.).
  • Operates snowblower or snowplow to clear roads, driveways, and parking lots.

Job description

PurposeThe Yard Manager is responsible for keeping the dealership lot in a professional appearance, organized, and safe. The Yard Manager will work with LandMark Transport loading and unloading equipment according to LandMark Implement’s safety policies. This position will support all departments to run smoothly and efficiently, including parts delivery if needed and assisting the Service department.ResponsibilitiesOrganizes and inventories lot ensuring working environment is safe for both customers and employeesAssist LandMark Transport with unloading and loading of equipment according to safety policesMaintains a neat and clean yard at all time, including mowing lawns, trimming weeds, and lot clean upResponsible for snow and ice removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorwaysOperates snowblower or snowplow to clear roads, driveways, and parking lotsUpkeep on the property including light maintenanceOperation of many types of equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, dozers, forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts to transport parts, equipment and supplies for the dealershipAssists with the maintenance and repair of road surfacesMay supply Service Technicians with parts as required and/or help with Service MaintenanceMay provide support to Sales department with inventory and stock checksParts delivery when neededPerforms or manages routine maintenance on LandMark Implement equipment, including trucks, cranes, and forkliftsPerforms other related duties as assignedComplies with all applicable safety rules and policiesExperience, Education, Skills and KnowledgeHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license, CDL preferredAbility to operate various types of equipment and power toolsFamiliar with Agriculture Equipment usage and operationBasic Mechanical abilitiesExcellent communication and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently and thoroughlyPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle, as well as stand, walk, and move in and out of the vehicle throughout the workday. The position involves frequent use of hands and arms to operate controls, secure loads, and handle materials, along with regularly lifting up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Duties include reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and performing repetitive motions such as gripping and securing cargo. Strong visual ability and sustained alertness are essential for safe vehicle operation, along with regular communication via telephone and electronic tools.
