Yard Logistics & Driver Laborer – Solar Energy

The Role:
The Yard Logistics & Driver Laborer is responsible for maintaining an organized and operational yard environment, supporting project logistics, and ensuring the timely and safe delivery of materials and equipment to solar job sites. This role directly supports the efficiency and execution of our solar projects by managing inventory, coordinating day-to-day operations, and performing regional deliveries as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, warehouse, and storage area
• Receive, inspect, and document shipments of solar construction materials and equipment
• Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment for loading/unloading trucks
• Stage and prepare materials for upcoming solar installations
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with stock control
• Transport materials to and from job sites within a 150-mile radius using company vehicles
• Secure materials safely for transit and complete delivery/pick-up logs
• Provide responsive support to project teams for urgent material transfers
• Assist with minor maintenance of tools and yard equipment
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures during all tasks

Requirements:

• Prior experience in yard, warehouse, or construction logistics
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL not required)
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor environments
• Skilled in using forklifts, telehandlers, and related equipment (certification preferred or training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Effective communicator with a team-oriented attitude
• Willing to travel for regional, same-day deliveries and pickups
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
• Familiarity with solar construction materials and equipment
• Experience working in construction, renewable energy, or logistics environments
• At least 3 years of a clean driving record

Schedule:
Full-Time | Travel Required | Field-Based Role at Active Solar Construction Sites
This role will work primarily in an outdoor yard setting in all weather conditions and will involve regular use of material handling equipment, driving company vehicles, and supporting construction logistics.
