Job summary

Paul's Auto Yard is seeking a detail-oriented Auto Dismantler/Parts Puller to extract parts from salvaged vehicles. You will identify, label, and organize parts for sale, while maintaining accurate inventory and fostering positive customer/vendor relationships.

Responsibilities include testing parts, complying with regulations, and upholding safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior dismantling experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as auto dismantler or parts puller preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

550-Auto Dismantler/Parts Puller

FLSA Classification: Non Exempt

Pay Classification: Hourly

Reports To: Yard Manager

The Auto Dismantler/Parts Puller is responsible for removing parts from salvaged vehicles, ensuring that parts are properly identified, organized, and prepared for sale to customers. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

• Identify and remove parts from salvaged vehicles using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect and test parts to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Properly identify and label parts, ensuring that they are organized and stored appropriately.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track the movement of parts.
• Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
