Job summary

Paul's Auto Yard in Indiana is seeking a Yard Laborer to perform yard maintenance and material handling. You will sort and process materials, assist inventory, and help keep the yard clean and compliant with regulations.

This entry-level role requires reliability, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to work in varying weather. Prior salvage yard experience is a plus, though not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in a salvage yard or similar environment is preferred.

Summary/objective

Job Description

The Yard Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the yard.

Essential Functions

• Sort and process materials, including but not limited to ferrous, nonferrous, tires, and batteries
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials
• Maintain equipment and facilities, including basic maintenance tasks and cleaning
• Provide support to all departments as needed
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
