Job summary

Paul’s Auto Yard is seeking a Yard Laborer to perform hands-on material handling and yard upkeep. The role involves sorting ferrous and nonferrous materials, tires, and batteries, and assisting with inventory.

You will work under the Yard Manager, contribute to maintaining accurate records, and help ensure a safe, compliant salvage yard operation in all weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in salvage yard or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to operate basic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and process materials, including but not limited to ferrous, nonferrous, tires, and batteries
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials
• Maintain equipment and facilities, including basic maintenance tasks and cleaning
• Provide support to all departments as needed
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
