Job summary

Brown Contracting, Inc. is seeking an entry-level yard worker for our Sherwood yard to learn the tools of the trade with full training, including forklift and flagger certification.

Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to the yard, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role is outdoors in all weather with a Monday–Friday schedule, featuring 9am to 6pm–9pm shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license from any state is required.
• Reliable transportation to the yard is needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Learn to stage materials for upcoming projects and load service rigs.
• Pickup/arrange delivery of materials to yard and job sites.
• Use forklift for loading/unloading service rigs and trucks.
• Organize and maintain wood yard, racks, and lumberyard items.
• Inventory, inspection, cleaning and repair of materials and tools.
• Report to Yard Manager with updates on tasks and material needs.
