Kokosing is seeking a Yard Laborer for our Fredericktown location. You will load, unload, and manage materials to support our construction projects, and operate forklifts of various sizes to move items safely.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, moving materials within the yard, and assisting field teams. High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; ability to work outdoors year-round is essential.

Job Description

As a Yard Laborer, you will perform a variety of different tasks including loading, unloading, and management of materials in our Fredericktown location that support the successful operation of our projects.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and help manage different materials that support our construction projects.
• Operate Cat, Case, or Hyster forklifts of various sizes.
• Receive requests and pull orders for the field in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform tasks involving the use of hands and tools.
• Moving material from storage yards within the Fredericktown area.
• Properly secure equipment and materials for transport.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Good communication skills
• Good driving record with valid driver's license
• Load securement knowledge
• Ability to work independently or in a group
• Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required. (Must be physically able to perform work tasks)
• Lift and carry objects weighing 50-70 pounds
• Follow specific directions
• Stand and walk for long periods
• Read and understand measuring tools
• Perform other routine duties as directed by supervisor
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions/all seasons
