Job summary

Vossloh is seeking a dependable Yard Worker to organize and move materials in our railyard. You will load/unload, operate forklifts, and maintain inventory while following safety protocols in a busy industrial setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior yard or warehouse experience, and the ability to work varied shifts in different weather conditions. Steel-toe boots and PPE are required for all staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a yard, warehouse, or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs.) repeatedly
• Stamina to stand, walk, and move throughout the yard for extended periods
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, squat, and reach overhead as needed
• Capable of operating forklifts and other equipment, requiring good hand‑eye coordination
• Willingness to work in varied weather conditions
• All employees are required to have steel toe boots and supplied PPE

Environmental Conditions

• Industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
• Must be able to work in hot temperatures in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter months.
