Job summary

Vossloh in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform routine and non-routine QC tests on raw materials and concrete products, document results, and ensure compliance with standards.

You will inspect incoming materials, calibrate equipment, train staff, and report non-conformances while working with production teams to implement corrective actions. This role requires hands-on testing, attention to detail, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, production planning, and safety management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure proper mixing, curing, and finishing of concrete products as per standard procedures.
  • Analyze and interpret test results to make recommendations for improvements or adjustments in mix designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Verify compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Perform field inspections and concrete testing on job sites as required.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and work with production teams to correct any problems.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory and testing equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the QC lab and testing areas.
  • Assist in training production staff with quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Report any non-conformances to management and assist with corrective actions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality-related documentation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Work Availability
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance according to company guidelines.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
