Job summary

UFP Industries in Butner, NC seeks a Jockey Truck Driver to organize trailers on-site using a Yard Jockey truck, with occasional forklift use.

You will perform daily equipment inspections, load/unload trucks, secure loads, and maintain shipping documents while following safety rules. CDL is required; forklift licensing must be obtained within 4 months of hire. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of experience driving a commercial vehicle or yard jockey truck.
• CDL license is required for this position.
• Successful completion of forklift driver licensing within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives in the facility and stages loads in various weather conditions.
• Completes daily equipment inspection sheets.
• Loads and unloads trucks as needed to assist with production.
• Inspects equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Secures load and inspects it to ensure proper securing.
• Maintains shipping documents and radio contact with base or supervisor.
