Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum 12th-grade education completed.
• At least 6 months of experience driving a commercial vehicle or yard jockey truck.
• Ability to pass a driving test/skills evaluation in a yard jockey truck.
• Forklift driver licensing process to be completed within 4 months of hire; CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives in the facility staging shipping loads in varying weather conditions.
• Completes daily equipment inspection sheets.
• Loads and unloads trucks to assist production as needed.
• Inspects equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Secures loads and verifies proper loading.
• Maintains shipping documents and radio contact with base for load movement.
• May operate a forklift to load/unload trailers as required.
• Performs other duties as required and participates in safety programs.
