Job summary

Quirch Foods, LLC is seeking a dedicated yard and tractor/trailer inspector/driver to verify equipment lists, hook up trailers, and ensure readiness for routes. You will monitor ThermKing units, fuel levels, lighting, and general safety compliance in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the supervisor and night shift, maintaining equipment condition, and ensuring a safe, efficient loading and unloading process for daily operations across our Florida

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Valid interstate Medical Card.
• Lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or walk; sit for long periods.
• Must communicate in English for safety requirements.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Meets or exceeds minimum requirements established by Quirch Foods.

Responsibilities

• Verify the list of assigned tractors and trailers.
• Move tractor trailers in/out of doors and truck yard as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure tractors/trailers are ready to drive (hook up, air lines, landing gear, doors).
• Check ramps inside the warehouse and adjust trailers if needed.
• Ensure ThermKing units are functioning by turning each unit on.
• Verify Tractor/Trailer lists and fuel levels before routes.
• Inspect lights and report any repairs to supervisor.
• Communicate with night shift for trailer changes or routing needs.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness and OSHA safety compliance.
• Support night shift with any required tasks.
