Job description

Warehouse Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full time Yard Jockey at its location inElkton, MD.

Night Shift, Monday - Friday

$18.00/hour + $1.25 night shift differential

Under appropriate supervision, the Spotter/Material Handler position will perform trailer movements and material handler functions critical to the operation. Duties require manual, clerical, and data entry skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate and maintain spotter and material handling equipment as required to transfer material to destination.
2. Interface with Site Manager/Operations Manager and personnel in a professional manner.
3. Prepare and maintain all related information including the movement of trailer and trailer inventory on yard.
4. Move trailers in and out of docks to ensure reasonable care of the customer’s product.
5. Responsible for adhering to all company Policy and Procedure’s in addition to State and Federal Regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Possess a valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a DOT physical.
2. Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a continual basis.
3. Ability to safely get in and out of spotter unit.
4. Ability to crank trailer dollies for each spotter movement.
